Online pre-arrival course
Be Local offers online pre-arrival courses designed for individuals on relevant topics to make their relocation easier. We recommend an introduction to the Danish language as part of the course. The overwhelming part of moving to a new country will be minimized and we will work with aspects of feeling at home in a new country.

Danish lessons
Understanding the Danish language is at the heart of integrating into Danish society. Our teaching is individually designed based on interests and learning style, and our lessons are highly flexible in terms of level, content, time, and place. Lessons take place in a flexible way in relation to level, content, time, and place. Progression and fluency are ensured, and we use conversation, textbooks, and any material relevant for job situations, hobbies, and networking.

Intensive course
Our intensive course gives maximum progress of learning in minimum time. We teach Danish to individuals or groups according to their level and needs. We design the course flexibly so that it will fit well to the person(s) and the time schedule.

Motivational learning and language teaching in real life settings
Most people benefit from learning Danish through real life conversations and experiencing local life. Motivational learning is based on understanding and individual’s interests and learning style and matching this with the local environment. This enriches and speeds up the learning process. 

Together we will meet new people, learn about and experience local traditions, see places, and find relevant, enriching possibilities for a great life in Denmark. This motivational learning technique provides a comfortable and fast way to learn how to be an active part of local life. We use both Danish and English, when learning, but quickly mostly Danish.

Language coach
We act as language coach to people who speak Danish to a high level to obtain greater linguistic confidence.

For example we offer a ten-hour course tailored to the level and field of work or interests of the individual, which could help them to give a presentation or teach in Danish, to feel confident in writing emails in Danish or just to make clever small talk.

Pronunciation
We offer courses with focus on pronunciation and strengthening the linguistic level so that students become confident and speak with fluency, have a rich vocabulary and a good pronunciation. The courses can be designed with, for example, weekly conversations based on texts, television programs, content on the web or other material that relates to the professional world and interests. During the course we invite our students to meet and speak to Danes to get real practice in small comfortable settings and situations.

Language exam preparation
We can support students in preparing for and passing their language exams, such as the PD3, the national citizen exam, and ninth grade exit level.
